I've become obsessed with drawing little houses for some reason. I have this massive folder full of tudor and victorian style homes. I really love craftsman homes.

They all have so much personality =P

Its probably the result of growing up in a Levit style suburb where there are only three styles of houses to choose from.

This is a two page spread, but I'm going to have to resize it in order to meet comic standards.

This one stands well enough as a b/w piece aside from what stpl mentioned. And when artwork is so strong as a b/w, I tend to get scared applying colour for fear of ruining it. You probably know what you're doing. It should be good.

I always loved older houses myself. So much more character than the ones constructed today and the ones that might look interesting are repeated over and over so much in subdivisions, they lose any potential appeal they might have had.

I like the narrative going on as well though she doesn't all too concerned about walking in so late. I'm guessing this is a panel from a bigger story.

I liked that you picked up on the lack of concern! There's a rural suburb about a half an hour away from where I used to live that is nothing but widely spaced character homes. When I used to visit there, people would leave their doors unlocked at night, and I've always thought that was the weirdest thing.

When we moves to Seattle for the first time, the guys would always leave the doors unlocked, and I would always be the one to lock the doors at night. Growing up with a cop dad makes one a little extra safe I guess haha

I really like it, I might harden the girls shadow a bit to sit her on the ground a bit harder, unless she is supposed to be a bit floaty. Otherwise quite exellent.

Thankies! I'm coloring the whole thingy, so I figured I would meddle around with the shadows in photoshop. The brush dusting stuff is only gonna be for effect. I think it gives it a nice dusty look in places.

Nice. The window placement on those houses is mental. Russian-esque.
